The President of the PKA Prof. Krzysztof Diks presented certificates of outstanding assessment.

The President of the Polish Accreditation Committee Prof. Krzysztof Diks presented certificates of outstanding assessment awarded by the Presidium of the Committee. The ceremony took place during the Plenary Session of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland.

The list of awarded HEIs is as follows:

  1. Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń („physics”, „law”, „teology”)
  2. Poznań University of Life Sciences („forestry”, „animal husbandry”)
  3. Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice („painting”, „graphic art”)
  4. University of Gdańsk („psychology”)
  5. Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań („geography”)
  6. University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn („fishery studies”)
  7. University of Warsaw („cultural studies – science of culture”)
  8. AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków („materials engineering”)
  9. Poznan University of Technology („management and production engineering”)
  10. Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice („electrical engineering”)
  11. Wrocław University of Science and Technology („civil engineering”)
  12. Strzemiński Academy of Art Łódź („fine arts education”)
  13. University of Silesia in Katowice, Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology (institutional assessment)

An outstanding assessment may be awarded if more than 50% of the criteria are met at outstanding level, including following:

  • Concept of education and its conformity with HEI’s mission and strategy
  • Study programme and possibility for achieving intended learning outcomes
  • Staff providing the education process
  • Infrastructure used in the education process

The remaining criteria have to be fully met.
